Specify the style of sock you’d like customised. If you’re unsure, our team can recommend the best option based on its end use.

2. Design Brief

Prepare a simple sketch and clear description of the sock you’d like us to produce so our team can fully understand your idea.

3. Quote

Once we have received all the details from you on style, design and quantity, we’ll provide a quote for your order.

4. Digital Mock-Up

We’ll create a digital mock-up of your sock to confirm design placement and get an idea of how the finished product will look.

DESIGN OPTIONS

COLOURS

Using the right colour is important to your branding & merchandising

100+ Colours Available

Choose from our wide range of colours using our charts, or let us recommend options to suit your sock project

Custom Colours

For clients with precise colour requirements we can source  custom dyed yarns to match Pantone PMS colours

Specialty Yarns

Need a specialty yarn or blend? We can source per your requirements from our network of high quality material suppliers

MATERIALS

We only source the best yarns for our socks

Cotton

Cotton is a natural material used a lot in socks because it feels good. Cotton socks are comfy to wear all day and are good if you have sensitive skin. We stock a large range of colours which can be used as a base colour for your custom socks

Nylon

Nylon is a type of synthetic fabric that’s commonly added to socks because it stretches well, bounces back into shape easily, and adds durability. It’s also soft, and lightweight. We have over 50 different colors  in stock to be used for intricate knitted patterns

Acrylic

Acrylic is a synthetic fibre commonly blended with wool due to its similar feel and bulk. It has good heat retention properties and is frequently used in thicker work or seasonal outdoor socks. Acrylic is more economical than Merino Wool

merino wool

Australian Merino wool has lots of great qualities. It’s perfect for socks you wear for outdoor activities because it regulates temperature, absorbs sweat, and keeps your feet dry. A bonus is that it has natural chemicals that keep your feet from smelling bad!

Polyester

Polyester is a strong fabric that is often used in making sport socks. Coolmax polyester specifically is designed to draw moisture from the skin and keep your feet feeling dry. Polyester is also used in our sublimated socks as it can hold bright colors without fading

Eco-Friendly

We are working hard to increase our range of eco-friendly material options such as recycled polyester, organic cotton & bamboo. In addition, most specialty yarns can also be sourced although higher minimum orders will apply

Knit Technology

Patterns are woven directly into the sock fabric while the sock is being made providing the most durable customised sock. We have specialised machinery for every application:

Fine Guage

Fine gauge machinery is ideal for dress and casual socks. These machines offer the best graphic reproduction for intricate designs

Medium Gauge

Medium gauge machinery is optimized for sport socks. These machines produce thicker socks with good graphic detail

Heavy Guage

Heavy gauge machinery is suitable for heavy-duty work and outdoor socks. These machines produce thick, protective socks

DESIGN GUIDELINES

Below are some things to consider when planning your custom sock design

logos in the welt

The welt (aka. cuff) is the top part of the sock, commonly ribbed in appearance and stretchy. Because this area is prone to stretching it isn’t considered a good spot for detailed patterns – simple logos or lettering work best here

the heel & toe

The heel and toe areas of the sock are where knitting machines perform extra sequences to form the pocket-like shapes of the sock.  As patterns can’t be woven here, please choose solid colours for your design

detailed graphics

There are limitations to how detailed your sock design can be with jacquard style knit. Due to the nature of woven designs, very small and complex logos/designs are not suitable for knitted socks. Please inquire about our Sublimated Socks for complex logos with fine details and/or gradients

number of colours

For knitted socks, our machines can accommodate up to 6 yarn colors per design including the base sock colour. Yarn colors are best communicated to us by using the names on our colour charts. We can also make reccomendations from your Pantone PMS numbers
